I am proud of my heritage, proud of my cultural roots. No doubt my hair is now " fakely blond " and I crave for Hokkien Mee, but the Filipino spirit is alive within me.

I am proud of my parents, my siblings, my university, my friends and associates. A native Cebuana-from Cebu City considered the Queen City of the South, Philippines, I embody the Philippine traditional aspirations and characteristics.

Special Filipino cultural norms like the Bayanihan spirit, Utang na Loob, respect for parents and the elderly will always be dear to me.

If I were to choose a nationality by birth, I will remain a Filipina. Being one, I feel passion, warmth, romance, kindness, hospitality, perseverance, creativity despite the lack of resources and the ability to endure despite the storm or tornados of life.

We are a hospitable culture, unmatched in our genuine love of people. I pride myself in acquiring and living all of these inherent traits that makes my being today…

Mabuhay from Pamela Wildheart!
